We are immensely proud of him and know he lost his life doing something he loved.

Private Ben Ford, of Chesterfield, Derbyshire, and Private Damian Wright, of Mansfield, Notts, died in a fight with the Taleban in Helmand province.

A civilian interpreter died and another soldier was wounded in the battle, in which 20 suspected insurgents died.

The two soldiers were from 2nd Battalion The Mercian Regiment.

WHERE PEACE FLOWS LIKE A RIVER.

Together We Will Journey
To That Land Up In The Sky
Where The Flame Does Burn Eternal
And The Soul Does Never Die.

Where The Harps Are Gently Playing
As A Host Of Angels Sing
Where The Road Is Paved With Diamonds
And The Golden Bells Do Ring.

Where The Path Is Set Before Us
Shining Brightly As The Sun
We Will See The Face Of Jesus
When Our Final Race Is Run.

Where The Peace Flows Like A River
Winding Through The Streets Of Gold
We Will Dine With Priests And Prophets
When The key To Life, We Hold.

Where The Flame Does Burn Eternal
In That Sacred Promised Land
Where God Holds The Gift Of Freedom
In The Cleft Of His Right Hand.

Where We'll See The Face Of Loved Ones
Long Before Us, Gone Away
What A Day Of Sweet Rejoicing
When We Meet Again Someday.
Where We'll Gather At The River
In Our Home Up In The Sky
Where The Peace Flows Like A Fountain
And The Soul Does Never Die.

we missed you

please dont be unhappy
because im out of sight
remember im with you
morning noon and night
that night i left you
when my life was through

god picked me up and hugged me
and said I WELCOME YOU
ITS GOOD TO HAVE YOU BACK AGAIN
we missed you very much while you were gone

god give me a list of things to do
FIRST to watch over you all
and when you lie in bed
god and i are very close to you
because you are only human
there will be tears
but dont be afraid to cry
remember there would be no flowers
unless there was rain
and your tears may heal your pain

for all our broken hearted loved ones
on earth where we could not stay
we are here in heaven
with our holy father
sending many blessings
to all we love on earth
who loved us
with out any regrets
because you loved us so

to us ANGELS YOU ARE THE SPECIAL KIND

A TRUE HERO

EVERY TEAR YOU SHED
I SILENTLY WIPE AWAY
I WISH I COULD BE WITH YOU
BUT I WASN`T MEANT TO STAY

IF ONLY I COULD HOLD YOU
AND SHOW YOU I AM STILL HERE
IF ONLY I COULD EASE YOUR PAIN
AND ERASE ALL OF YOUR FEAR

I HATE TO SEE YOU CRYING
I HATE TO SEE YOU SAD
WHERE I AM IS A BETTER PLACE
IT`S REALLY NOT THAT BAD

I AM YOUR STRENGTH WHEN LIVE SEEMS FUTILE
YOU`RE ANGEL IN THE SKY
I DIDN`T WANT TO LEAVE YOU
DIDN`T WANT TO MAKE YOU CRY

I AM WITH EVERY SECOND
EVERY HOUR OF THE DAY
AND WHENEVER YOU NEED DIRECTION
I WILL GUIDE YOU ON YOUR WAY

YOU NEVER ONCE LET ME DOWN
AND YOU ALWAYS SAW ME THROUGH
YOU STILL HAVE SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE
AND TRULY I LOVE YOU

YOU WILL NEVER BE ALONE
SO SURROND YOURSELF WITH LOVE
AND TAKE COMFORT IN THE FACT
I`M WATCHING FROM ABOVE

On Rememberance Sunday we will be thinking of you and your family and sending you all our love x x x x x

There is discipline in A Soldier
you can see it when he walks,
There is honor in A Soldier
you hear it when he talks.
There is courage in A Soldier
you can see it in his eyes,
There is loyalty in A Soldier
that he will not compromise.
There is something in A Soldier
that makes him stand apart,
There is strength in A Soldier
that beats from his heart.
A Soldier isn't a title any man
can be hired to do,
A Soldier is the soul of that man
buried deep inside of you.
A Soldier's job isn't finished after
an 8 hour day or a 40 hour week,
A Soldier is always A Soldier
even while he sleeps.
A Soldier serves his country first
and his life is left behind,
A Soldier has to sacrifice what
comes first in a civilian's mind.
If you are civilian -
I am saying this to you.....
next time you see A Soldier
remember what they do.
A Soldier is the reason our land
is 'Home of the free',
A Soldier is the one that is brave
protecting you and me.
If you are A Soldier -
I am saying this to you.....
Thank God for EVERY SOLDIER
Thank God for what YOU do!

Thinking of you Ben and sending your family and friends all our love x x x x x x x
